AegisWatch tracks active flooding events using data from GDACS and Copernicus EMS. Each flood event includes: location, coordinates, risk score (0-100), severity rating, and infrastructure impact analysis (roads, bridges, population centers at risk). Data is provided by AegisWatch Crisis Intelligence Platform.
Floods are detected through GDACS alerting systems and Copernicus Emergency Management Service satellite analysis. AegisWatch calculates risk scores based on magnitude, affected area, and population exposure. The platform tracks both slow-onset river flooding and rapid-onset flash floods, providing infrastructure impact analysis for roads, bridges, and populated areas in the projected flood zone.
